Mint Energy Now in all Major Ohio Markets
Mint Energy is now enrolling customers in all deregulated utilities in Ohio. In addition to AEP (Columbus Southern Power and Ohio Power) and Dayton Power & Light, which Mint began serving in February and March, Mint Energy has now opened Duke and First Energy (Cleveland Illuminating, Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison).
Mint Energy Expands its Electricity Offerings into Maryland
Mint Energy, one of the fastest growing independent energy retailers in the United States, continues its expansion into PJM with the addition of the Baltimore Gas & Electric (BG&E) market. BG&E is the first utility Mint Energy will begin serving in Maryland with Delmarva Power, Pepco and Potomac Edison soon to follow.
Mint Energy Now Serving the Ohio Market
Mint Energy is now serving competitive electric supply in both AEP Ohio and Dayton Power & Light (DP&L). “As we continue our expansion into PJM, I am excited to add the Ohio Market to the Pennsylvania and Illinois territories that we currently serve. We are currently pricing and enrolling customers for start dates beginning March 1, 2017”, said Dan Schilens, VP Sales & Marketing. “Our team is working hard to continue our expansion efforts with plans to be active in Duke and First Energy all before early third quarter of this year.”
Mint Energy Expands its Energy Supply Footprint to Illinois
Mint Energy has begun serving commercial and industrial customers in the ComEd Service Territory. The move is the first step in Mint’s expansion of its PJM service territory.
Mint plans to enter these markets through channel partner relationships and has recently hired Jeremy Gonser to help manage these markets. Jeremy is an industry veteran with 12 years of experience developing, managing, and directing results-oriented sales organizations.

Mint Energy Hires Industry Veteran to Lead Expansion in PJM
Mint Energy announces the hiring of Dan Schilens as Vice President, Sales & Marketing, to lead the company’s sales and marketing efforts and their expansion into PJM.
Most recently, Dan was President of DPL Energy Resources (“DPLER”), a competitive retail energy supplier that served commercial and residential customers in the PJM service territory. Dan was part of the management team which sold DPLER to IGS Energy completing the sale on January 1, 2016. Prior to DPLER, Dan held a number of other leadership positions across the competitive energy and telecommunications industries during his 16 plus year career, including founding his own brokerage and consulting business, positions at First Choice Power, PAETEC, Constellation NewEnergy, and XO Communications.
